The pictures do not do this accommodation justice. It is so cute and cozy, on a quiet dead end street. Willem was a great host. many thanks!

so i visited here from the 11th - 15th November. the owner was polite and talkative room had everything you need: fridge,hob,microwave grill thing, pots pans, knives and forks and tv. the toilet shower is rather small(im 6ft 3)but was clean, get some bread so you can feed the ducks in the morning also free wifi.. also the host LOVES peanut butter so i gather anyone staying that brought him some would be treated even better. lastly it does look better than the pictures show. name of the boat is zodiac for those who get lost

Willem's boat is cute, cozy, a little rustic (no sofa or arm chair, so you use the bed or dining table if you want to read), but well equipped, clean and well located. He has 3 units in the boat: his own + 2 that he rents out. Willem was great as a host - very available for help, but not hovering. He also is very quiet as neighboring tenant. It was an extremely handy surprise that WiFi was available. The kitchen was fully stocked with adequate pots and pans & dishware. (ok, the can opener needs to be replaced, but I bet he's done so by now, since I mentioned it to him). oh - and the boat didn't rock.

We had very nice days in our accommodation. A simple uncomplicated stay near the center. Mister Willem is a gentle and nice host who was always ready for a joke as well as for good information about the city and its way of living. Thanks a lot! We will come again :))

What an excellent stay! Willem is an excellent host. He provided us with information to best enjoy the city and we had a library in our room. The location is very nice, far enough away from Centraal Station so that it's not a tourist haven. Right near the Jewish Quarter. We will stay here again. The facilities were very nice. We were very happy with the kitchenette! Comfortable accommodations, a great host, and a great price.

I was in A`dam in January 2011. I really enjoyed my stay at the houseboat. We were 3 guys and used to stay 3 nights. The rooms were clean and big enough. With rooms I mean we had the one room were can see the kitchen, the meal table and so on (this was more the living area) and an additional room which was only used for sleeping (but there you have also a wardrobe, TV, desk and so on). As mentioned in the discribtion the useage of the bath has to be shared with the renter - it sound harder than it really is. Two be honest, who goes showering more than two times a day... The bath itself is a little bit spartanic but there`s everything you need. One big plus point is the renter himself, Willem. Really a funny cool guy - he helped us when we had any questions - doesn't matter about what - where`s the next supermarket, where to go for good and cheap weed, where are the best sightseeing spots... So as conclusion I can really recomment this accomodation. I will look for it when I go the next time to A'dam. Wish everyone a nice stay! ;-)

Die Unterkunft ist wie auf den Bildern bereits zu sehen sehr einfach und ohne jeden Schnick-Schnack, aber gemütlich eingerichtet. Es liegt sehr zentral und ist zweifelsohne für den Preis konkurenzlos. Einziger Wermutstropfen sind altersbedingte Schönheitsfehler. Manch einer würde sich vielleicht auch etwas gründlichere Reinigung der Zimmer wünschen - meinen persönlichen Fokus aber hatte der Blick aufs Wasser durch die großen Fenster. Hier zeigte sich auch der Zweck vom Vorhang am Bett ;) Ich kann die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen

Bonjour à tous, Tout d'abord un grand merci à Willem et l'accueil au sein de sa jolie péniche. Super bien situé, pièce en commun très propore. De plus, nous etions en voiture et toujours de la place à coté de la péniche! Ayant déja visiter Amterdam(hotel)plusieurs fois, je peux vous assurer que chez Willem cela n'a rien à voir... Passez lui le bonjour de notre part !!

Nous avons passé un très bon long week-end à Amsterdam ! La péniche est très bien placée, nous avons presque tout visité à pied. La chambre est très simple. Nous n'avons pas utilisé la cuisine car il faisait tellement beau dehors ! Le linge de lit est un peu usé et la literie un peu molle... Mais cela n'a pas gâché notre plaisir !

Amsterdam ist eine Reise wert, besonders, wenn man so eine tolle Unterkunft hat!!!! Einfach, aber gemütlich eingerichtet, alles sauber, alles da. Der Besitzer super freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Kann ich bestens weiter empfehlen, zumal man nur 10 Minuten bis in die City benötigt. Liebe Grüße,

merci tout s'est bien passé bonne réception de notre hôte Willem nous a tres bien acceuilli et nous avons été très bien pendant 3 jours il nous a indiqué les bonnes adresses, a été très discret et nous avons trouvé que d'habiter avec lui avait de grands avantages tels que la sécurité de notre chambre ; nous recommandons vivement cette péniche à tous les amoureux d' amsterdam et lui envoyons nos meilleurs sentiments.

Pres du centre, 10 minutes, le proprietaire est super sympa Maison bateau, 2 chambre, aucun souci. Prêt du metro. A ete genial!
