Shaheen Sadough United Kingdom (01/06/2012) "Have stayed here 3 or 4 times now and so know what to expect. Location is absolutely perfect in my opinion. Not right in the middle of the Red Light District, but smack bang in the middle of Amsterdam. A few minutes walk from Dam Square and Red Light and other touristy places, as well as Central Station. Some nice coffee-shops, and restaurants right on the doorstep and even a decent supermarket just up the road. The apartment itself is nice and comfortable. 2 double beds in separate rooms and a nice living area as well with a high view. Can’t say anything bad about the place really. Maybe it would be nice to have a grill for cheese on toast. highly recommended. "

Claudio Palmentola Italy (06/22/2011) "Appartamento eccellente in pieno centro. Unica pecca il bagno: non ci sono finestre e manca il box doccia. "
Matthew Cooper United Kingdom (05/03/2011) "2nd time i have booked this accommodation through city mundo. Great location and was able to arrange for a second set of keys this time, just a quick email to city mundo office. Thanks again for a great service. "
Louise Karwowski United Kingdom (02/05/2011) "Wonderful apartment, very clean, confortable, well equipped and brilliantly located. There is a supermarket 1 minute away so getting breakfast and snack supplies was easy to save some pennies. It was lovely to have a lounge to relax in with tv. There was a problem with the electricity which was sorted out immediately. Will definitely return. "
Matthew Cooper United Kingdom (12/05/2010) "Stayed 19-23rd november, myself and a friend both found it comfortable, although if your not a couple i would pre arrange an extra set of keys as we only got one between us. Great location within a 5 min walk of central station, right behind dam square. As to the top room it can get chilly, we left the door open to the room all day and it kept it warm enough. perfect I imagine it to be good in the summer in the summer. Smoker friendy, quiet apartment, great value for money, much nicer than staying in a pokey hotel room for the same price. And yes a lick of paint and a small amount of maintanance would improve the already very nice arrangement. Great location for night life especialy for any frinds of Dorathy ;) Would definatley return here, and pan to next year."
Jonathan Bowers United Kingdom (12/01/2010) "This apartment was great (although could do with a slight facelift) it was excellent for myself and 3 male friends. Stayed 3 nights in November 2010. Plenty of space and perfect location right behind the Palace. For the price you cannot do better than this apartment. It is a smoker friendly apartment and the owner even pointed out the closest coffeeshop near by. The owner has a shop on Nieuwendijk (5 min walk away) and let us leave out baggage in the shop on the last day. I would definately recommend this apartment to groups who want an alternative to hotels / hostels and at a price that works out about the same as a budget hotel. Will definately be using City Mundo again. Thanks! Jonathan. "
excitableone United States of Amerika (11/19/2010) "First off i just wanna thank CityMundo for a very easy transaction with constant communication!!! The apartment we rented L01492 on Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal couldn't be located any better for access to all of Amsterdam. The apartment itself is MUCH larger than you'd imagine from watching the Youtube video..I especially loved the large window that over looks the Nieuwe Kerk and Royal Palace...The stairs aren't as bad as you'd think being your on the 4th floor,if my big 6'4 self could huff it up you can too!!! Being it's a smoke friendly room made for some great late night evenings after closing some of Amsterdam's finest coffeeshops..We opened the window each night and enjoyed the cool November Amsterdam air...The sleeping arrangments were suitable for 3 of us, one buddy prefered the extra mattress and slept in the living room, my other friend took the bed near the kitchen and i took the upstairs loft...I suggest not keeping the window open long if you wanna stay warm in the loft room...It's chilly up there!!! The shower is real basic, and i might suggest they figure out a way to keep the shower faucet up instead of having to hold it and spray yourself down...Not a big deal, but we had no light in the bathroom either, we drug the lamp from the living room into the bathroom when needed...Overall i'd give this room a 4 out of 5 and would love to stay there again!!! Here's some nearby restaurants and coffeeshops for those interested..Grey Area coffeeshop, make a right out of apt take first right, cross Spuistraat and go over the bridge.. Its on Oude Leliestraat on the right hand side..Across from Puccini Bon Boni..They have some of the finest herb in Amsterdam!! Also directly across from the apartment is Home Grown Fantasy coffeeshop, they have a nice selection of bioweed and delicious space cakes! The shop Utopia just down the street if you make a left sells bunk grass and hash, cool place for a coffee but avoid buying weed there!!!! The restaurant Oude Holland right across the street serves Dutch food and its delicious!! We got the hoshpot for 20 euro a piece and Never finished it both times we ate there!!!!Enjoy the room and thanks for reading!!!!! "
Jonathan United Kingdom (05/27/2010) "Stayed in this apartment for 3 nights in May 2010. Great apartment. A lot bigger than the pictures show. Great location just behind the Palace and close to most attractions. The kitchen could have done with a microwave but apart from that everything else was good. Would definately stay here again! "
David Bell United Kingdom (11/04/2009) "This was the first apartment I booked with citymundo quite a few years ago now. I was so impressed that now I always book my apartments in Amsterdam with Citymundo. The apartment is in a great position just behind the Dam square and in easy walking distance of pretty much everything in the central area. If you need to take a tram or bus, there are a number of routes close by and Central Station is an easy walk away. The Apartment itself is an open plan room in the roof of an old Town house. The room is cleverly divided into a lounge with sofas, TV etc, a kitchen, small dining area and extra sleeping area. The lounge is comfortable enough, although we re-arranged the furniture so that we could look out of the large window onto the street below. The kitchen area is large enough, but beware. When we stayed, there was no oven, just a hob. We didn't actually notice this until we brought uncooked pizza home one evening! The bathroom was functional, no awards for style, but it did what it was supposed to do without problems. The bedroom upstairs in the very highest part of the roof is very nice. Minimal furniture, just a nice big bed, side tables and a chair, but the light that comes in from the windows is fantastic in the morning. I loved waking up in this room. We had a really enjoyable stay, apart from the pizza incident there were no problems. It might not be suitable for those unable (or unwmilling!) to walk up a lot of stairs. Otherwise I would thouroghly recommend it as a comfortable, clean and central place to stay in Amsterdam. "
