We loved the bedroom and clever shower room tucked into the eaves, with lovely outlook to the roof terrace and beyond it to the central garden and school etc. Staying in an apartment in a quiet residential area such as this gives one a really good insight into living in Amsterdam like a local. People were so friendly in the local shops and cafe, chatting to us and suggesting good places to visit. At the apartment, the owner Martin,was charming and helpful, giving us tips on the local neighbourhood and helping us navigate a journey on public transport to Haarlem through the snow which would have taken even longer had we not taken his advice. The apartment is great for a short stay and very nicely put together, though the steep stair to the bedroom may be a challenge for anyone not able bodied. "
