Scott Maxwell United States of Amerika (04/10/2012) "My friend and I stayed on this boat for a long weekend and were very pleased. Convenient location to center city via bus or tram yet quiet neighborhood. Boat was very clean and had essentials needed. Family was very nice and we hardly noticed they shared boat with us. If going for longer than a few days and wanted to cook this isn't for you, but wonderful for a quick trip. "
Alexis Jubin France (12/01/2011) "My 16-yr daughter, her best friend and I spent 4 days in Amsterdam and had a wonderful time at Corinne and Caspar's houseboat! They were very friendly and had supplied guidebooks and umbrellas for use. The houseboat is only 1 minute away from a bus terminal and the Central train station is only 10 minutes away. There is a supermarket not far away and the view over the water is great. Very comfortable sleeping arrangements. Steep stairs to access the sleeping area and kitchen. It was fun to have the shower and the toilet in the same small area. We recommend this rental!"
Tina Germany (10/26/2011) "We stayed at this wonderful house-boat in the end of September 2011, and were overwhelmed by both the warm welcome of our hosts and the absolutely wonderful and comfortable cabin with small bathroom and even own sun-deck! The boat is clean and quiet, and easy to reach from the Central Station or downtown with the bus no. 42. There are some cafés in the neighborhood as well as a big supermarket about 15 minutes (walk) away! Next time we will come to Amsterdam, we will stay, if possible, at the Alhena again! Tina & Holger from Berlin/Germany "
Robin Renteria United States of Amerika (07/13/2011) "Everything about our stay was wonderful. CityMundo was easy to work with and clear, and our accommodation was delightful. It was easy to get to by bus and the buses ran frequently. Our hosts were accessible, generous, and helpful. We were also grateful that they spoke English like native speakers, since we're a bit shy with other languages. They had resources about the city, and even had cards for different walking tours that we used and loved. The room was spacious and comfortable and had almost a complete kitchen. It had a microwave. Just the stove was missing. The one caution I would have for others is that you must be able to climb the steep stairs/ladder to and from a lower level of a boat. Only about 8 steps, though. We loved it. The portholes offered good cross ventilation and the bed was big and comfortable. When, hopefully soon, we return to Amsterdam, we would love to stay here again."
Geisa Correia PORTUGAL (06/29/2011) "It was amazing! We love the city but it was special to be in this boat! The 52 bus stop so close to the boat and it take us in few minuts to the central station! Just try and enjoy it! "
Jocasta Fletcher United Kingdom (06/24/2011) "a lovely place to stay peaceful, good location. very clean , owners very trusting and friendly - we did not meet them until the 3rd day of our stay. had to ask the people on the neighbouring boat how to flush the toilet (there is an extra lever we did not realise) nor did we work out how to turn heating on - its was a wet damp may when we visited. Bus easy , but hired bikes best option for getting to nearby supermarket kitchenette is limited and we should of investigated options before going to supermarket - thought we could use grill in microwave for toast but there was no rack to hold the bread up. nice touches like flowers , cheap minibar and snacks, teabags , coffee, maps , books , travel adapter, music etc no curtains on portholes so gets very light. Comfy firm double bed but strangely with single duivets? Wheel house is great and if the weather is good enough to sit on deck excellent views and really relaxing and peaceful. would stay again thanks x"
Tres facile"
Tina Rich United Kingdom (03/01/2011) "We loved our boat and found our hosts to be very friendly. The boat is easy to get to, there is a supermarket near by and the area is nice and quiet. Local trams and buses get you to the city centre pretty quickly. No complaints! "
A conseiller +++++++"
Wendy Baker United States of Amerika (12/01/2010) "My niece and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming houseboat. The family was incredibly welcoming (including providing several vases of fresh flowers) and very helpful regarding any questions we had about how things work on a boat. The houseboat is conveniently located at the last stop of bus # 42 which made it easy to find. Even though it is not located downtown, the public transportation system makes it a breeze to get to all the sights. There were several great restaurants within a few minutes walk too."
Yannick Bodnar France (11/17/2010) "Wahouh!!!
Karoll Mun United States of Amerika (04/03/2010) "We had the loveliest experience in Amsterdam largely due to the extraordinary luck of having chosen this accommodation. Not only is the boat beautiful with a spacious, bright, pretty and very comfortable bedroom downstairs and upstairs living room in the wheel room, the surrounding is very peaceful with wonderful views. And, fresh flowers... lots of them! We did not feel like tourists but rather residents of Amsterdam in this most serene neighborhood with outstanding architecture and terrific boats. Great restaurants frequented by locals within walking distance was a serendipitous bonus. The transportation into the center was also very convenient on the tram, bus or bike. Yet the most fabulous part is the hosting family, Coriene, Casper, Sterre, Bart and Boris... their warmth and hospitality made all the difference; they are the most special family anybody would be extremely fortunate to meet. We cannot wait to visit Amsterdam again and we would never stay anywhere else. I hope I have used sufficient superlatives to describe how much we enjoyed our stay. Simply, perfect."
Sehr empfehlenswert! "
