Ellen was very kind to us when we arrived in Amsterdam and pointed out several tourist locations to us on a map. The room was cozy and perfect for a couple or single person. The location was lovely; very close to Sarphatipark and walking distance to many other fun locations. Would recommend this room to other couples traveling to Amsterdam!

I was in Amsterdam for work and needed a base near the RAI (it only took 20 minutes to walk there, or 10 on the tram). The room was perfect for my needs - it had everything I needed, and is in a fantastic part of town, with lovely cafes, restaurants, a park and good transport links. It was easy to get to from the central station on the no.4 tram. Ellen was a really nice host - very helpful and friendly, and she made some brilliant suggestions for places to eat out. The bed was very comfortable and it was nice to have access to the garden. The room felt very private. Thank you!

We had a 4-night-stay in Amsterdam and enjoyed our trip. The host, Ellen, was very friendly and gave us some informations about the area. The room was ok, bathroom only seperated by a wall, no door. The toilet was in a VERY small room outside on the floor, but for us alone. The equipments (coffeemachine, refrigerator, microwave, TV, Wifi) was very good. Ellen offered us even a few stocks (water, coffeepads, cheese and bread), what we gladly accepted. However, we were very happy when Ellen offers us another room in the house after one night, because the previous guests have departed. There we had a private bathroom with own toilet, a proper kitchenette and a little more privacy. After all, the beds in both appartments were excellent, both rooms were fairly quiet (although the 2nd room facing to the street and the 1st to the garden). If i had to rate only the 2nd room, this would be excellent. For the 1st one, i regret to deduct 1 star. In any case, Thx to Ellen for a lovely time

Stayed there for three nights, had a nice stay. The room was tidy and spacey, and the host was kind and helpful. I thought the location of the house was great, close to the center, but in a less crowded neighborhood. Some minor complaints would be that the front door was occasionally difficult to open because of a safety lock, and the shower had no curtain to hold the water off the floor. Overall, I would recommend it for a couple, but a single traveler could possibly find something a little cheaper.
